About Madrigal: Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company pursuing novel therapeutics for non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), also known as metabolic dysfunction associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Our first therapy, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), was granted accelerated approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of adults with NASH with moderate to advanced liver fibrosis (consistent with stages F2 to F3 fibrosis) and is being studied in a Phase 3 trial for the treatment of NASH with compensated cirrhosis.

Role Overview: AD, Business Intelligence (BI) The AD of Business Intelligence (BI) will be responsible for the development, deployment, and maintenance of the company's business intelligence platform. This role will focus on delivering automated, self-service dashboards, supporting real-time insights, and optimizing decision-making for internal stakeholders across various functions, including Commercial, Trade, Patient Services, and Market Access teams. The AD will collaborate with internal analytics teams, IT, and external vendors to ensure successful BI development and integration, with a long-term objective of bringing BI capabilities in-house for cost efficiency and full integration within the organization.

Position Responsibilities:

BI Platform Ownership & Development: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of the business intelligence platform, including automated, self-service dashboards for key functions like Commercial, Patient Service, Trade and Market Access. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with internal teams (analytics, IT, Data Warehouse) and external vendors to gather requirements, wireframe data needs, and develop solutions that support real-time decision-making. In-house Development & Cost Optimization: Drive the transition from external vendors to in-house BI development, optimizing operational costs and improving efficiency through automation and reduced outsourcing dependency. Capacity & Stakeholder Empowerment: Enable the analytics team to focus on strategy by automating insights, and empower stakeholders with robust, user-friendly dashboards for data-driven decision-making. Qualifications and Skills Required:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Experience:

8-10 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related fields, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or life sciences, with a strong understanding of data supporting reporting and analytics for commercial, sales operations, trade and payer domains. Proven track record of developing automated, self-service BI platforms. Strong experience managing external vendors and supporting/transitioning BI capabilities in-house.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in BI tools including Tableau and Power BI. Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data warehouse design. Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and ETL processes. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical data sources (IQVIA, Symphony Health, etc.).

Leadership Skills:

Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation: Base salary is determined by several factors that include, but are not limited to, a successful candidate's qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs, and market demands. The role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits, which include flexible paid time off (PTO), medical, dental, vision, and life and disability insurance.
