Job Summary: Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced, motivated, and strategic Director of Global Sourcing with a proven track record in managing sourcing platforms across a global spectrum, with a strong focus on EBITDA growth. This role requires an individual with a minimum of 12-15 years of experience in global sourcing with a spend responsibility of at least $200 million. The Director of Global Sourcing will play a dual role in managing critical commodities and developing and executing comprehensive sourcing platforms to drive cost productivity, innovation, risk mitigation, inflation avoidance, new product development, and supply chain resiliency. The role will be a key partner to the Vice-President, Supply Management. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Sourcing Leadership: Develop and implement global sourcing strategies that align with the company's business objectives. Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure continuity and reliability. Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships to drive innovation and competitive advantage. Commodity Management: Oversee the procurement of critical commodities, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance. All-encompassing commodity experience including MRO/Indirect, electro-mechanical (motors/pumps), electronics, logistics, and general technology. Negotiate and manage contracts with key suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions. Spend Management: Lead initiatives to optimize spend and achieve cost savings across the organization. Develop and manage the global sourcing budget, ensuring alignment with financial goals and objectives. Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement. Supplier Development and Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Conduct regular supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards. Drive supplier development programs to enhance capabilities and support business growth. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and product development teams, to align sourcing strategies with business needs. Lead cross-functional teams in sourcing initiatives and projects like VAVE to ensure successful execution. Provide guidance and support to regional sourcing teams to ensure consistency and alignment across the organization. Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing global sourcing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Identify and develop talent within the sourcing organization, promoting professional growth and career development. Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback to drive individual and team success. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a technical field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Professional certifications: CPIM, CPM, CQE, CSCP, CPSM, or CSCM. Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in global sourcing, with a proven track record in managing a spend responsibility of at least $200 million. Experience across multiple industries with a deep understanding of market dynamics and sourcing best practices. Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills. Applicable experience with eRFx platform involving eRFP’s and eAuctions. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies that drive cost savings and operational efficiency. Knowledge of P2P (procure-to-pay) and its function within ERP systems; preferably NetSuite. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with strong Excel proficiency. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop talent. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization. Proficiency in sourcing and procurement software and ERP systems. Includes but not limited to Tableau, Blumor, Power BI, and NetSuite. Able to travel a minimum of 20% domestically and occasionally outside of the US.
