Senior ACAS Scripting Engineer

Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring a Senior ACAS Scripting Engineer at Hanscom AFB, Peterson AFB, Scott AFB or Langley AFB.

What you'll do: Develop implementation, guidance, best practice information, schedules, and detailed product feature specifications to support integration of ACAS enterprise servers and services. Utilize Tenable API and Python scripting to provide web-based visual, data-driven dashboards automating CORA scoring formulas pulling data in real-time from Tenable scan repositories. Provide solution engineering to ensure systems and components meet current and future standards. Conduct testing of new ACAS technologies and create documentation to meet suspense dates. Provide performance tuning to systems and investigate issues with Tenable spanning a large and complex environment. Deploy, maintain, and perform tuning of Tenable scanners to meet current and future needs. Develop, create, deploy, and manage Tenable scan configurations to support scanning services to global enterprise. Ensure that the ACAS scanners and Security Center are operational and reporting properly. Assist customers in resolving ACAS issues, make recommendations as needed. Maintain Linux Web Server and associated web infrastructure, ensuring high service availability. Respond to new scripting requirements and opportunities for scripting automation to reduce manual repetitive efforts and requirements. Move reports from Security Centers into web-accessible storage solution compliant with DISA standards, deleting reports once they are past the storage requirements to keep space utilization down. Perform recurring vulnerability scans and create repositories, queries, and dashboards as necessary to ensure vulnerability report information is available. Investigate false positives or potentially confusing scan data results. Update and maintain tracking mechanism for false positives and track false positives until the finding is corrected; provide results upon resolution. Install and configure updates to Tenable software as released and in compliance with STIG and CORA requirements. Motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to create complex technical reports on analytic findings. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD, 12 years of applicable experience in lieu of degree acceptable.

What you will need:

Skills, experience, and expertise in the following technologies: Python, Tenable API, CORA ACAS scoring methodologies and reporting, system administration on SIPR, Linux web server configuration and hosting, and Tenable Security Center configuration. Experience in managing and maintaining SIPR ACAS through CCRI/CORA audits. Experience with Tenable "back-side" and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration. Hands-on experience with general RHEL administration and troubleshooting specifically on AF SIPR. Tenable Security Center Expert certification or proof of utilizing Tenable API for complex tasks.

Clearance needed:

Active DoD Secret clearance

Desired Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences or equivalent degree preferred IT related experience Red Hat experience in a DoD enterprise network environment Experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. #J-18808-Ljbffr
