The Director of Digital Content is responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive, user-centered content strategy that enhances the College's recruitment and enrollment efforts. This role focuses on structuring digital content, storytelling, and ensuring a seamless user experience across digital touchpoints. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information architecture, story writing, digital content creation, and some UX/UI development or user experience design knowledge. By collaborating with departmental leadership and other communications team members, the Director will ensure prospective students and their families engage with the College’s brand through clear, compelling, and strategically crafted content. Position is campus based and not intended for remote work. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Digital Content Strategy and User Experience

Lead the development and execution of a cohesive digital content strategy that supports recruitment and enrollment objectives. Collaborate with the web development team to ensure digital content is optimized for user experience, using data and insights to enhance navigation, accessibility, and engagement. Apply information architecture principles to organize content effectively on the College’s website, ensuring prospective students can find information quickly and easily. Storytelling and Content Development

Craft compelling, student-centered narratives that resonate with target audiences, including prospective students, parents, and guidance counselors. Work closely with the AVP for Communications to ensure messaging aligns with the College’s mission and brand voice. Develop digital content that supports recruitment campaigns, including website pages, email campaigns/templates, digital ads, and other promotional items, as needed. UX/UI and Content Optimization

Use UX/UI best practices to structure and design digital experiences that facilitate smooth user interactions, from discovery to application submission. Regularly analyze website performance, user engagement, and conversion data to refine and optimize content. Implement SEO strategies to improve search rankings and drive organic traffic to the College’s website. Data-Driven Content Management

Monitor content engagement metrics, web analytics, and user behavior data to improve content performance continuously. Conduct regular audits of digital content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with recruitment goals. EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, UX/UI Design, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in content strategy, story writing, or digital marketing, with a demonstrated understanding of user experience design principles. Proven experience in information architecture and developing user-centered digital content. Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization techniques. Proficiency in Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other web analytics and marketing tools, and the ability to use data to inform content strategy.
