The
Media Arts Specialist
elevates Light of Life's brand and expands its reach through innovative and engaging content strategies. The position leverages creative expertise to design, produce, and manage multimedia content across a variety of platforms to enhance organizational branding, storytelling, and communication efforts. This role requires a blend of technical skills with artistic creativity to drive engagement and effectively convey the mission and vision of the organization. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Graphic Design & Brand Management
Develop high-quality graphics for various platforms, including social media, websites, print and marketing campaigns
Develop brand assets, including logos, icons and illustrations
Design visually engaging materials such as brochures, infographics, presentations, and event collateral.
Ensure consistent brand identity across all design projects
Collaborate with the Marketing Department to create, adapt, and improve web and digital communications
Content Creation
Develop and produce engaging content for social media, websites, email campaigns, print materials, and social media platforms (such as Facebook and Instagram Reels) to help grow the organization's digital presence
Collaborate with team members to create storytelling-driven content that reflects the mission and values of Light of Life Rescue Mission
Digital Marketing
Monitor and analyze social media and digital campaign performance using analytics tools to identify trends and optimize strategies
Optimize and manage content across websites, social media, and other digital platforms for maximum reach and engagement
Stay up-to-date with digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices, and share insights with the team
Website Maintenance
Update and maintain the organization's website to ensure visual consistency and functionality
Work with web developers to seamlessly integrate design elements and ensure a user-friendly experience
Due to the interface with the clients, all jobs at Light of Life require employees to:
Participate in the ministry of Light of Life Rescue Mission and walk alongside clients sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through actions and words.
Resolve all issues in ways that promote the principles of Light of Life while following the processes described in the Light of Life staff handbook.
Practice effective stewardship of all resources.
Exhibit love for clients and co-workers.
Model accountability, timely reporting and a willingness to self-evaluate.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, media arts, marketing, communications, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on graphic design, social media, email, and basic understanding of web and display advertising
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) as well as basic familiarity with web design tools (WordPress)
Candidates must present a portfolio of work portraying graphic design skills
Basic understanding of digital marketing tools and analytics, including Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, and other marketing automation platforms such as Hootsuite
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to develop effective digital marketing strategies that align with organizations goals
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
