is now hiring for an experienced

Civil Drainage Engineer II

to join our infrastructure design team. In this role, you will get to work on marquee

transportation and infrastructure design projects

for drainage, hydrology, and culvert systems design.

We offer hybrid remote working (meaning allowed to work from home 2-3 days per week). What You'll Be Doing: Engage in the

hydrologic and hydraulic design and analysis

of all aspects of

transportation projects , including rivers, ponds, culverts, storm drains, floodplains, and grading. Prepare and review drawings for final design, construction, detour, and erosion control, and prepare and review design reports. Perform quantity calculations and produce/check engineering analytical data and related information to assure the design and any technical reports are accurate. Development and creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements, with some supervision by more experienced staff engineers. Defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, and reporting the work status. Detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses. Provides support for other engineering activities as required. Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers. What Required Skills You'll Bring: 4-year degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) is required 5 years or more of related work experience

with

drainage and hydrology

for roads and highways, inclusive of culvert design experience. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred. PE license is desirable, but not required. Solid experience with hydrology & drainage design for transportation infrastructure is essential for this role. Any experience supporting Caltrans projects is desirable as well. Experience proficiency utilizing

AutoCAD Civil3D

and/or

MicroStation

is required for this role. StormCAD, and/or HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS software is desirable. What Desired Skills You'll Bring: A solid base of experience and understanding of hydrology and hydraulic design of pipe networks as well as water quality BMP design. Experience with drainage systems design of roads and highways. Strong verbal and communication skills. Good aptitude for both learning and sharing knowledge in a team environment. Ability to work in a physical office environment at least 3 days or more per week. Eagerness to learn from more experienced engineers. Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/None.
