Here is your opportunity to be part of a rapid-development analytic engineering team building the next-generation of decision support capabilities to drive customer insights to the business for iPhone, iPad, Watch, Mac, and other lines of business. We are looking for a smart, creative, and communicative data and machine learning engineer with expertise in developing large scale databases, business intelligence, and machine learning solutions. Description - Partner closely with the Data Engineering team and the Data Science/Machine Learning team to improve analytic data quality of our customer database and innovate solutions and constructs to support the business for applied analytical decision support. - Build new capabilities, tools, and dashboards for special projects and new applications of our customer data. - Collaborate with Business Management to support Investor Relations with device installed base insights used for quarterly earnings reporting. - Develop and standardize new metrics and KPIs for cross-functional use, partnering with the Data Science team and cross-functional business teams on requirements and KPI definitions and the Data Engineering team to productionalize proof-of-concept designs. - Perform ad hoc and exploratory data mining and analysis for specific business questions, and dive into troubleshooting database or KPI issues. - Script proof of concept database design to support analytic and core data initiatives. - Use data mining, machine learning, and advanced statistical techniques to improve database classification and data quality, and to build predictive capabilities, including forecasting, for our installed base. Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of building database constructs and using data mining, analytics, and machine learning to solve business problems. BS in data science, statistics, economics, computer science, or other quantitative field. Preferred Qualifications Fluency with SQL and Python for coding, database querying, and conducting statistical analysis. Fluency in Tableau for scalable business intelligence design. Advanced education degree in data science, statistics, economics, computer science, or other quantitative field. Experience with algorithm development on large scale customer data and designing complex feature-rich databases. Experience with advanced regression and probabilistic machine learning techniques. Experience with forecasting, preferably to include system design for scalability. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience building stories and narratives out of data.
