Chief Financial Officer (Colorado, Denver Downtown)

The Chief Financial Officer will report to the Vice President and assume a strategic role. You will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities for the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, legal, private, and institutional financing. Responsibilities: Provide leadership in the evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives. Ensure credibility of the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts. Direct and oversee all aspects of the finance & accounting functions for the organization. Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs, strategies, and regulatory action. Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions. Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities. Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation, and reporting to the company. Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities. Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting. Qualifications and Requirements: BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA. Active Colorado CPA license is required. 7-12 years of Big 4 Public Accounting Firm experience or 5-7 years of experience with a Big 4 Public Accounting Firm plus 2-3 years of progressively responsible financial leadership roles with private companies in accounting as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or smaller company CFO. We are seeking candidates who are looking for compensation in the $150-$250k salary range.
