Job Title: Scaler/Shipping and Receiving
Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Scaler/Shipping and Receiving professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Office, scanning, shipping, and receiving. This role involves handling outgoing products, ensuring proper labeling, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Print labels and attach them to outgoing products.
• Scan labels and ensure accurate data entry.
• Handle shipping and receiving tasks, including operating a pallet jack and moving materials within the plant.
• Unpack incoming totes by hand, stage, stack, and place parts/materials appropriately.
• Perform quality assurance checks and operate scales.
• Break down boxes and lift heavy objects using a skid steer.
• Maintain cleanliness by sweeping and cleaning as needed.
• Communicate with clients over the phone and occasionally interface with HR.
• Read and process numerical orders and operate machinery.

Essential Skills

• 1-2 years of recent computer experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• 1+ years of scanning experience with scanners.
• 1-2 years of shipping and receiving experience.
• Ability to use a pallet jack and handle heavy lifting (up to 2000 lbs).
• Proficiency with basic technology and data entry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with quality assurance.
• Comfortable with busy work, such as sweeping and cleaning.
• Ability to work in a non-temperature controlled environment.
• Willingness to work in a loud environment and with strong smells (like paint).

Work Environment

The work environment is relatively clean but can be loud in certain areas, especially in the scaling section where parts are dumped. The plant is not temperature controlled, and the paint section has a strong paint smell. This job requires standing all day and lifting heavy objects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Flint, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00
