The Business Development Manager objectives involve generating and cultivating business relationships to enhance revenue and profitability, meeting assigned sales targets in a specific region or state. Superior customer service and client satisfaction are key priorities, along with building strong, trusting relationships and identifying new business opportunities within the existing portfolio.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate and develop business relationships with an effective approach that maximizes both revenue and profitability, working to support assigned sales targets in region or state.
- Devise and deliver tailored presentations to potential customers by using a wide range of presentation techniques.
- Identifying promising prospects through cold-calling, networking, and customer referrals.
- Developing and implementing strategic plans to manage and grow accounts.
- Devise retention of existing business and pursue leads to expand the current client portfolio.
- Assist with hiring and provide training to newly recruited Sales team members.
- Developing and maintaining excellent knowledge and understanding of our business, offerings, competitors, and industry
- Providing superior customer service and ensuring client satisfaction
- Retaining clients and building strong, trusting relationships.
- Understanding client needs and identifying new business opportunities within your portfolio.
Key Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes
- Proven work experience as a BDM or 5+ years of experience with business development, sales, or account management
- Renewable Energy experience/background
- Self-starter self-disciplined and target focused but able to work in a team matrix.
- Self-discipline, focus, and strong time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally within a team-oriented environment.
- Dynamic, agile with strong communication skills.
