Our Legal Assistants work under the direct supervision of our Attorneys to ensure that our clients receive the excellent customer service they deserve. They conduct legal research, draft documents, and communicate with clients, adjusters, and other third parties in support of the work the Attorneys do so the client receives the best possible outcome for their case.

Consistent client contact to ensure medical records, treatment, and billing are up to date Requests medical records and organizes them in a chronological order paying attention to items within the records that may need to be highlighted for review by the Attorney Requests Google Reviews and referrals from clients. Forwards appropriate links and follows up as needed. Calculates settlement figures and drafts/completes settlement paperwork Orders health insurance ledgers/liens and audits to ensure they are complete Updates client files in the client management software system so that Attorneys can review documents received, client medical status, expenses, etc. Takes the initiative to solve issues that may arise using available resources including the Attorney of record Drafts legal correspondence as directed Monitors deadlines and juggle calendars Performs other administrative tasks such as calendaring hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, managing logistics, etc. If the Legal Assistant is in Litigation, may perform some or all of the following:
Draft pleadings, motions and appellate documents and file them with the court Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes Prepare discovery responses Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests Gather relevant information from a variety of sources Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties Help with voir dire, jury selection and witness preparation Schedule calls with client or other events with client (such their depo, depo prep call, mediation, mediation prep call, etc.)
Requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products as applicable Ability to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing Highly organized with excellent follow up skills Ability to professionally multitask and meet multiple deadlines simultaneously Respectful, confidential, and provides a trustworthy source for clients, vendors, and coworkers Reliable and dependable in performing job-related tasks, finishing assigned projects, meeting deadlines and appointments Strong attention to detail and accuracy Self-motivated and driven to begin and complete tasks Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience Two (2) years of law experience One (1) year of clerical experience Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements:
Valid Driver's License and good driving record May travel occasionally to other offices Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
