Our client is preparing to conduct their BSA/AML and OFAC Risk Assessments for 2024 over the next few months. They are seeking to hire a consultant to support the upcoming 2024 Risk Assessment cycle. The consultant will assist with drafting necessary data information, performing annual updates to the product risk rating methodology, and contributing to the development of the team's projects.
Client Details
Our client is a large, foreign, International Bank. With it's full-fledged services, our client specialize in corporate lending, international trade services, treasury business, U.S. dollar clearing, retail banking, correspondent banking and various other lines of business. This contract will be 5 days in the office and is looking to hire someone ASAP.
Description
The consultant's responsibilities include supporting various aspects of risk management and compliance processes, specifically:
Assisting with data review, risk assessment reporting, quality assurance, compliance risk appetite evaluation, and new product risk assessment reviews.
Drafting business requirement documents for data extraction and performing data collection, cleaning, and analysis for Lines of Business to evaluate inherent risks related to customer base, product/service risks, and transaction risks.
Calculating control assessment scores to identify gaps and weaknesses within the bank's operations.
Evaluating AML scenarios, transaction alerts, SARs, OFAC rejects and blocks, and other compliance-related metrics and reports.
Writing Inherent Risk Assessment reports and identifying risk drivers for stakeholders across the organization.
Creating PowerPoint presentations to summarize and visualize inherent risks effectively.
Updating and enhancing the product risk rating methodology, product risk rating process, and new product approval process annually.
Conducting annual updates on country risk rating methodology and processes.
Performing event-triggered data analytics and reviews based on emerging risk trends and typologies.
Supporting the Enterprise-Wide Risk Management process.
Evaluating deficiencies identified in previous risk assessments and improving methodologies accordingly.
Developing and enhancing risk reporting tools, including designing risk scoring templates, risk distribution charts, metrics, and quantitative risk models.
Updating the Risk Appetite Statement Framework based on the results of risk assessments.
Assisting the Head of Risk Assessment in establishing standards and procedures for the risk assessment lifecycle, including developing methodologies and drafting documents aligned with regulatory guidance.
Defining project scopes, milestones, and timelines for compliance risk assessment projects while documenting objectives, evidence, and other required materials as per project requirements.
This role emphasizes collaboration, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory standards to support the organization's risk and compliance objectives.
Profile Bachelor's degree or higher Mandarin fluency is a plus but not required 1-5 years of experience Law degree or CAMS is preferred but not required Strong quantitative/qualitative skills Experience with SQL/Python, MS programs and large sets of information Skills: professionalism, communication, task oriented, time management, team player etc Immediately available for work Job Offer The client aims to interview and hire a consultant by the end of this week to support their 2024 risk assessment cycle.
