Salary: $28/Hr - $35/Hr

TGG has a partner with an Escondido client seeking to add an experiencedAccounts Payable Specialistto their established accounting team.

Title:Accounts Payable Specialist.

Schedule:On Site - 5 Days.

Compensation:$28/Hr - $35/Hr.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices from vendors for accuracy, retrieve approvals, & properly code/enter in ERP system.
• Review AP aging for weekly check runs and recommend vendor invoices to be paid.
• Process timely vendor payments and accurately record checks, wires/ACH & credit card transactions.
• Accurately prepare monthly commission reports for payment & mailing to sales reps.
• Provide timely answers to vendors and sales reps regarding payment and/or commission questions.
• Collect W-9s annually, keeping vendor accounts updated and accurately prepare 1099s.
• Assist with month end activities, account reconciliations, and special projects.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field required.
• 1-2 years of full cycle accounts payable experience preferred.
• Understanding of the general ledger and month-end closing processes.
• Strong computer skills and experience with Excel a must.
• ERP system experience is helpful
• Consumer Packaged Goods experience desirable
• Detail-oriented and organized you must be good at managing a great deal of information
• Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision
• Have an excellent sense of urgency and the desire to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and analytical skills.

This role requires that you successfully complete an online accounting assessment. The assessment has 3 topics; Accounts Payable, Accounting Terminology, and basic Excel.
