A Weight Loss Clinic is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located in Gadsden, Alabama. This part-time position is for an MD with an AL license and DEA certification, working 2 days per week from 2 PM6 PM. The facility operates Monday-Thursday (9 AM6 PM) and Friday (9 AM2 PM). The role involves walk-in appointments, typically 20-25 adult patients per shift, focusing on weight loss treatments (e.g., Adapex, Contrave, Monjaro, Wegovy) and testosterone. Support staff includes phlebotomists and MAs who handle labs and injections, while the physician determines dosing based on progress and lab results. Paper charts are used for documentation, and credentialing takes 2-3 weeks.
