Accountant

Position: Accountant (Contract) Location: Ontario Duration: 5 months with potential for extension Compensation: Up to $33/hour, depending on experience Must have BACHELOR'S DEGREE TO BE CONSIDERED We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support the Controller and CFO with a variety of accounting responsibilities. This role will focus on areas such as Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger (GL) reconciliations. Key Responsibilities: Manage full-cycle accounting tasks. Reconcile bank accounts accurately and on time. Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities. Record and post journal entries. Assist with AR/AP processes as needed. Prepare financial reports and ensure accuracy in documentation. Support auditing and budgeting efforts. Create interdepartmental reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as directed by leadership. Handle additional accounting duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures. 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience is preferred. Proficiency in Excel (intermediate to advanced level). Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal). Detail-oriented with a positive attitude and problem-solving mindset.
