Key Responsibilities: Assist in the setup and operation of welding equipment under the guidance of experienced welders. Support the welding process by preparing materials, handling tools, and maintaining equipment. Read and understand job specifications, blueprints, and mechanical drawings. Perform tasks such as grinding, cutting, and preparing surfaces for welding. Follow all safety protocols and assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Qualifications: GED or high school diploma required; additional technical training in welding is . Basic understanding of mechanical drawings and familiarity with welding equipment. Ability to perform measurements and adjustments with tools such as weld gages, tape measures, and protractors. Strong communication skills and proficiency in English. Must pass a basic welding and safety knowledge test. Additional Requirements: Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for extended periods. Willingness to work overtime and weekends as project demands dictate.
