Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, EBHQ Reporting Services Unit, or designee, the incumbent performs the more responsible, varied, and complex consultative and analytical staff services assignments related to program evaluation, policy analysis and formulation, systems development, legislation, budgeting, planning, management, and personnel analysis. The incumbent processes Fraud and Investigation referrals and opens cases at the Division level for referral to the regional offices. This position is the subject matter expert on data reporting and time activity in the Branch's Case Record Information Management System (CRIMS) and Investigation Division Case Management Database (IDCM). The incumbent processes Fraud and Investigation referrals and opens cases at the Division level for referral to the regional offices. This position researches and analyzes data contained in the Electronic Fraud Referrals (eFD-1) system, Consumer Portal, CRIMS, and IDCM to identify fraud referral and case trends. The incumbent prepares statistical and trends analysis reports regarding insurance fraud and violations for Branch staff, executive management, Legal Division, law enforcement agencies, and external stakeholders. This position trains Enforcement Branch staff and eFD-1 insurance industry users on the intake processes and systems. The incumbent provides guidance and technical assistance to the public, other state agencies, insurance carriers, law enforcement agencies, and others, as they relate to the submission of suspected fraud claims (SFCs) and reports of suspected violations (RSVs). This position is the subject matter expert on the Branch referral and case management system. Occasional travel may be required within the state of California via private or public transportation (i.e., automobile, airplane, etc.). Travel may include overnight stay. Overtime may be required.

This position is eligible for hybrid telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Enforcement Branch and based on CDI's current telework policy. While CDI supports telework, in-person attendance will be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to work with minimal notification if an urgent need arises, as determined by the Department.
