Biologics Business Growth Specialist

WuXi AppTec seeks a skilled Biologics Business Growth Specialist to lead business development activities in the area of Biologics, Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT) Biosafety and Characterization Testing. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of the CTDMO/CRO & biotech/biologics industries. Job Description: The successful candidate will cultivate business opportunities among regionally-managed accounts, manage existing clients, and generate leads to close business for Cell and Gene Therapy Testing programs. Key responsibilities include: Cultivating business amongst regionally-managed accounts and engaging the development and closure of prospective opportunities for WuXi AppTec's Advanced Therapies Business Unit (ATU). Responsible for growing revenue in the ATU testing business unit. Manages existing clients, generates leads, and closes business for Cell and Gene Therapy Testing programs. Represents the company and interacts with clients during client visits, tradeshows/conferences, and provides effective communication on WuXi AppTec's testing services and other associated services. Follows up on all leads generated personally or via internal/inside sales, BD Manufacturing managers, or senior management. Collects and disseminates accurate information from clients to internal technical staff to understand scope of collaboration. Writes and develops proposals and contract templates, works with operational staff to define project scope, and combines with existing capabilities to generate scope of work and provide timely price quotations/proposals. Assists in reviewing, writing, and negotiating contract terms and conditions. Leads in directing inside sales prospecting efforts alongside Sales Management. Follows up on quotations to gather client feedback and expedite client decisions. Completes paperwork, updates Client Relationship Management (CRM) tool, and maintains up-to-date knowledge of cell and gene therapy fields/industries, technical and regulatory aspects as it relates to the position and the CTDMO competitive landscape. Provides support and leadership to strategic initiatives in support of the biologics and CGT services business as needed. Performs research, develops market analysis or presentations on the business unit or service areas as requested by management. Perform special projects and other duties as required. Requirements: The ideal candidate should possess: 5+ years of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Business or Life Sciences; Master's preferred or equivalent experience. Extensive knowledge of the CTDMO/CRO & biotech/biologics industries. Demonstrated success at managing multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, exhibit effective interpersonal skills, and communicate detailed scientific and business information through verbal and written communication. Strong written and oral communication skills, outstanding organizational and time management skills, demonstrated ability to work under pressure, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively with customers and internal staff. Proficient in Oral & Written communication skills, need to be able to read, write, and understand English, proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook), and willingness to travel 25% domestically/internationally.
