Position Summary The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting employees throughout the entire employee lifecycle and completes activities related to onboarding, benefits, compliance, employee relations, engagement and HRIS support. This role provides a great experience for all employees throughout the entire employment lifecycle through excellent service and support. Key Responsibilities Acts as first point of contact for employee and managers questions on HR topics, such as onboarding, data changes, pay concerns, HR policies and procedures, Workday, etc. Serve as point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, support benefits communication efforts and assist in coordinating open enrollment. Administer employee health and benefit plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations and ensures accuracy of benefits enrollments from HRIS to vendors. Submit employee and employer deferral payments into 401k funds and HSA contributions into employee’s accounts. Process and administer leave of absence requests. Assist in processing bi-weekly payroll, address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Implements and facilitates employee engagement activities such as surveys, new hire orientation, communications, recognition, events, etc. Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including letter creation, background check, new employee orientation, verify Form I-9, submitting transactions in HRIS. Listen to employee concerns and investigate as needed. Ensure issues are properly identified, documented and addressed. Maintain HR compliance and prepare data for audits such as EEO, unemployment claims, verifications of employment, agency reporting, background checks, etc. Support various HR projects as needed. Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business, Psychology or related field or relevant work experience Minimum 5 years of HR experience Experience with ADP or Workday preferred Preferred experience in services or project-based industry Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of employment legislation and regulations, human resources principles and practices including FLSA, HIPPA, FMLA, ACA, COBRA. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Strong analytical skills; ability to collect, research and resolve problems. Detail-oriented and diligent in all tasks assigned. Ability to make decisions with sound judgement and take initiative. Strong organizational skills and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Demonstrates resiliency; ability to succeed with multiple priorities in dynamic environment
