Data Security Business Analyst

Our client is seeking a Data Access/Unstructured Data Monitoring Business Analyst. As a Business Analyst for Unstructured Data Monitoring, your primary responsibility would be to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks associated with unstructured data. Experience with Varonis tools for data access and management REQUIRED (DatAdvantage, DataPrivilege, etc.) We can facilitate w2 and corp-to-corp consultants. Rate: $60 - $70 / hr. w2 Responsibilities: Unstructured Data Discovery: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and inventory unstructured data sources across the organization, including file shares, email, and cloud storage. Risk Assessment: Analyze unstructured data to identify potential risks, such as sensitive information, compliance violations, and data breaches. Business Requirements: Develop and document business requirements for unstructured data monitoring solutions, including data classification, data loss prevention, and compliance monitoring. Stakeholder Management: Communicate with stakeholders to understand their needs, provide updates on project progress, and ensure that solutions meet business requirements. Technical Collaboration: Work with technical teams, including data architects, engineers, and security experts, to design and implement unstructured data monitoring solutions. Solution Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of unstructured data monitoring solutions and identify areas for improvement. Process Improvement: Develop and maintain processes and procedures for unstructured data monitoring, including data classification, data retention, and data disposal. Compliance: Ensure that unstructured data monitoring solutions comply with relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards. Experience Requirements: Strong written and verbal communication with non-technical business team members Solid and demonstrable understanding of NTFS permissions Able to work with email, Excel, Teams, and Word Strong attention to detail ServiceNow or other ticketing system knowledge Follows and maintains Standard Operating Processes and documentations. Must be able to manage time and priorities with multiple tasks and projects File system security related work experience is desired Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
