The SEO/Web Strategist will bring with them experience and a skillset that marries strong hands on capabilities in both website and search engine performance to create strong digital marketing foundations for our clients. On the web front, you will help create the strategy, structure and long-term vision for each website project, leveraging user research methods, data, and best practices. You will work with the content and design teams to align the web design with business objectives, user needs, and technical requirements. Additionally, as an SEO practitioner, you will be responsible for helping to elevate and drive all SEO activities, and make use of marketing research strategies and analysis to improve our clients’ website ranking on all major search engines like Google. This is a temp-to-perm role, hybrid in Denver. SEO Responsibilities Develop SEO campaigns to meet the objectives and ROI goals of clients. Perform comprehensive SEO audits of websites including lead or sales performance data, rankings data, crawl logs, and site analysis tools (e.g. Google Analytics) to create an actionable plan for improvement and optimization. Analyze on-page, off-page, and technical factors of the site and provide recommendations to improve each client site’s overall SEO growth and performance. Conduct periodic keyword research, technical and content audits, and competitor analysis to discover new SEO opportunities and improve site traffic. Create and review detailed campaign performance data and future-looking strategic roadmaps. Performing ongoing keyword research including discovery, expansion and optimization of keyword opportunities to help drive ongoing improvement of our clients’ site domain authority and ranking. Build the entire SEO strategy, working with the Director of Content Strategy to leverage content and link-building initiatives. Stay up on the latest industry news, SEO trends, tools and algorithm, effective benchmarks, and best practices. Work with the digital and development teams to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code. Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords. Recent/updated understanding of ranking factors and search engine algorithms. Web Responsibilities Conduct research on client’s market, audience, SEO, and past performance. Create customer journey map and site architecture. Create strategic content plan that encapsulates project scope, client goals, SEO insights, and user experience. Conduct user research to understand user behaviors, personas, needs, and pain points. Analyze user data and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement in the user experience. Leverage all above to help create performance-based websites for our clients. Web Skills UX Strategy Develop and articulate a comprehensive UX strategy that aligns with business objectives. Information Architecture Define and optimize information architecture to enhance usability and accessibility Work closely with designers to ensure a seamless and intuitive user flow. Usability Testing Plan and execute usability testing to gather valuable insights and validate design decisions. Iterate on copy/design based on user feedback and testing results. Web Audits Lead web audits and recommendations for clients and prospects based on data/analytics, UX, research, business objectives, best practice, target personas, etc. Additional Work closely with other digital team members, account service, project managers, designers, writers, and developers to ensure cohesive and user-centered web experiences Clearly communicate UX strategies and design rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Understand and make recommendations on website’s information architecture, site navigation, and basic user flow. Create site maps and page architecture. Lead Q&A meetings with clients for content collection purposes. Ability to accurately diagnose and optimize underperforming sites, pages, forms, navigation, etc. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in marketing or relevant field. Minimum of 3 years of proven experience and measurable success in Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Minimum of 3 years of proven web marketing experience — both strategic and executional. Both areas should have been the only and/or key role focus for the candidate. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent critical thinking skills and desire to ask the right questions.Ability to learn, process, and implement new information quickly and effectively. Strong ability to collaborate with all other team members and departments — listens well and is receptive to feedback; can provide constructive feedback. Familiarity with industry tools such as SEMRush, Google Suite, Adobe, Figma, etc. Deep experience with WordPress and working with development teams. Strong portfolio showcasing successful Web strategy and design/development projects. Proficiency in user research methods, information architecture, and usability testing.
