Design Engineer

Responsibilities: Support the product owners and creating engineering change orders/notices (ECN/ECO) for design changes. Support new products and existing product designs. Update issues with parts in production and create design changes. Act as the connection between the production site and product development in product/design-related questions/issues. Establishing mock-up/pilot assemblies and coordinating product change implementation. Supporting and participating in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototypes. Coordinating process and product changes between the plant and product owners Applying engineering principles to develop products that meet customer technical/functional specifications as well as manufacturing cost/efficiency requirements. Conducting mathematical modeling to determine if proposed designs are technically feasible. May also be involved with designing product-specific manufacturing production processes and equipment. Managing large projects or end-to-end processes with limited oversight from the manager. Solving difficult and often complex problems. Experience: 5 years of relevant experience. Prefer 8 CATIA V5 experience. Familiar with injection molding, fabrication, plastics, metal stamping, etc. Nice to have: Experience with KOLA, PDM LINK, CREO View. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. BS Engineering not required but nice to have
