Commercial Interiors - Assistant Superintendent

Assistant Superintendent (Commercial Interiors) Compensation: $80,000-$100,000 Location: New York, NY Commercial Interiors | Retail Client Details: Established General Contractor with a track record of commercial interiors, retail, and high-end interiors projects throughout New York City looking to bring on a strong Assistant Superintendent (Commercial Interiors) They have a growing pipeline of projects and are continuing to bring on exceptional construction talent. This role will support the NIGHT SHIFT for the first 3-months from 6pm-2am. The Assistant Superintendent (Commercial Interiors) will: Manage the job site from inception through completion. Communicate and meet regularly with subcontractors to assess project progress, schedule, changes, and deliveries. Proactively identify design deficiencies, schedule concerns, and other project-specific issues. Enforce safety protocols to ensure job sites consistently meet or exceed OSHA safety standards. Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project including change order logs, RFI logs, and submittal lots. Communicate effectively with owners, construction managers, other superintendents, and project managers to ensure appropriate information to ensure completeness, design intent, and compliance with local codes and obtain all required clarifications from the design team. The ideal Assistant Superintendent (Commercial Interiors) will: Minimum of 3 years Construction experience in commercial interiors, retail, and high-end interiors projects. Ability to work NIGHT SHIFT for 3 months: 6pm-2am Knowledge of construction procedures, building codes, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and safety practices. Excellent communication skills.
