Staff Digital IC Designer

Location: Dublin, CA Position Overview: Amber Semiconductor is seeking a talented and motivated Digital IC Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of digital integrated circuits for a variety of power applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards Key Responsibilities: Design and implement digital circuits using RTL in languages such as VHDL or Verilog Collaborate with system architects to define design specifications and requirements Perform design verification and validation to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability Perform functional and timing verification of RTL designs through simulations and test benches. Collaborate with layout engineers to ensure design integrity and manufacturability Optimize designs for power, performance, and area (PPA) metrics Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers Stay current with industry trends and advancements in digital design methodologies Develop FPGA solutions for testing and verification of designs Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field 8 years of experience in RTL design including successful tape-out and product release Experienced in digital implementation flow such as Synthesis, Place and Rout, Clock Domain Crossing and STA Experience in integrated microprocessors including open source architectures Proficiency in RTL design languages (VHDL, Verilog) and experience with design tools (Cadence, Synopsys, or similar) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork skills Job Type: Full-time Salary Range: $120,000-$170,000 Offered Benefits: Medical, Dental, vision, 401K, & Equity
