Are you an experienced professional in Construction, Controls, and Monitoring with a passion for supporting data center operations? Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Operations Manager to oversee a portfolio of data centers and drive consistency across controls systems. As a key member of the Operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the construction, operation, and maintenance of control systems across the data center portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as expertise in BMS programming. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Director of Technical Operations to oversee the construction, operation, and maintenance of control systems. Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Air Cooled and Water Cooled Chillers, aligning with the company's design standards. Develop a comprehensive understanding of BMS programming across the portfolio and ensure consistency in implementation. Lead partnerships with monitoring and control vendors, facility teams, and IT departments for successful project delivery. Establish a preventative maintenance strategy for BMS and EPMS, including selecting a managed service provider. Respond to BMS/Controls-related incidents as part of the emergency response team. Work with the Development Team and general contractors to verify turnover packages and coordinate training for end users. Provide training on BMS/controls and sequence of operations (SOO) for technicians. Standardize metering across the portfolio for PUE measurement and reporting. The Necessities: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Construction, Controls, and Monitoring. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and database management software. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience (preferred). Experience with Mechanical PE (preferred). Vendor certifications for Monitoring and Controls (e.g., Allerton, Tridium/Niagara) highly preferred. What's in it for you?
