Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary: Dexian is seeking a Infrastructure Engineer for an opportunity with a client located in Des Moines, IA. Responsibilities: Maintain and manage virtual machines running on VMware Operate and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Migrate on-premises servers to AWS through "lift-and-shift" techniques Create and manage new AWS cloud instances using RHEL and Amazon Linux Develop and maintain automation playbooks using Ansible and Terraform Utilize AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) and Systems Manager (SSM) documents Implement automation frameworks aligned with CIS and NIST standards Apply security standards (e.g., CIS, NIST) using automation tools like Ansible Support developers, architects, and internal customers with platform needs Handle configurations, access provisioning, and troubleshooting tasks Run automation playbooks for routine operations and urgent tasks Build and configure virtual servers Write automation scripts for SSM documents Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including daily standups and sprint planning Requirements: Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Amazon Linux Python, Bash Ansible (professional experience preferred), Terraform (3-5 years) AWS services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) VMware experience (virtual machines) AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Red Hat Certifications (a plus) Knowledge of JSON for data handling and reporting Desired Skills and Experience Responsibilities: 1. On-Premises Infrastructure Management Maintain and manage virtual machines running on VMware. Operate and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). 2.
