Job description Digital I&C Engineer The individual will perform digital modification engineering work (project engineering) for design and implementation of Westinghouse control system platforms in a nuclear power plant for a variety of control systems (both safety related and Non safety related) for Palo Verde’s Digital Modernization Programs: Strategic Modernization Program (SMP) and Safety Related Modernization (SRM). Examples of Non Safety Related Control Systems under SMP: Main Feedwater Pump Turbine Controls Reactor Regulation System Digital Feedwater Pressurizer Level and Pressure Control Systems Examples of Safety Related Control Systems under SRM: Reactor Protection System Engineered Safety Features Actuation system Excore Nuclear Instrumentation Core Protection Calculators (CPCs) Qualified Safety Display System (QSPDS) Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 10 years of experience in I&C Design Engineering. 5 years of engineering experience in Distributed Control System (DCS) hardware/software modification and installation in industrial environment for various platforms: Westinghouse Ovation GE Mark VIE Foxboro I/A Foxboro Spec 200 Westinghouse Common Q Platform Ability to develop digital modification deliverable: Design/Procurement Specifications. Review of OEM developed requirements/design/implementation/ test phase documents. Review of Design Change Packages. Technical support during outage installation. Ability to evaluate design issues and develop and effectively present recommendations. Ability to work in team environment. Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear facility. Preferred Qualification Registration/Licensure as a Professional Engineer. 5 years of experience with implementation of Westinghouse Ovation DCS platform. 5 years of experience in nuclear power plant design, systems, and equipment. Current qualification at a nuclear facility as a Standard Design Process (SDP) qualified modification engineer. Working knowledge of digital upgrade guidelines for nuclear industry such as NISP-EN-04. Working knowledge of 10CFR73.54 Cyber Security Rule. Experience with development of digital/software modification test plans (Post Modification Testing)
