Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Manager to lead and manage ground-up commercial construction projects in Los Angeles, CA. This role requires a proven ability to oversee all aspects of construction, from preconstruction through project closeout. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with a successful track record in delivering large-scale ground-up commercial projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of ground-up commercial construction projects. Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including preconstruction, construction, and closeout phases. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules to ensure timely delivery. Coordinate with internal and external teams to align resources and meet project milestones. Identify and mitigate potential risks to avoid delays and cost overruns. Budget and Cost Management: Establish and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial goals. Review and approve project costs, forecasts, and change orders. Conduct regular cost analysis to identify savings opportunities and maintain budget integrity. Team Management: Lead and mentor project teams, including assistant project managers, project engineers, and field staff. Foster a collaborative and solutions-oriented team environment. Conduct performance evaluations and support professional growth within the team. Quality Control and Safety: Ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications, building codes, and quality standards. Promote and enforce a culture of safety, ensuring strict adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety practices. Client and Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular project updates and address client concerns promptly and professionally. Lead project meetings and presentations to stakeholders as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 5 years managing ground-up projects. Proven track record of delivering large-scale commercial projects, including office buildings, retail centers, and mixed-use developments. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices. Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project). Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. In-depth understanding of local building codes, permitting processes, and construction market dynamics.
