Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Sr Instructional Designer/Trainer Consultant to support the local deployment of SAP S/4 HANA. This consultant will be responsible for creating innovative business instructional materials that align with organizational goals and learner needs for our new Digital Core solutions enhancement (specifically asset management (plant maintenance), materials management, and finance). Understand the change impacts, review the core curriculum, and align on what is needed for local training and engagement. Develop a comprehensive range of training materials related to enterprise systems and processes, including e-learning modules, training presentations, system simulations, instructor-led materials, and quick reference guides. Ability to create online, interactive training materials in various formats, such as microlearning, videos, and eLearning courses. Experience in developing and administering a variety of assessments and analyzing assessment data to evaluate instructional program effectiveness. Leverage industry-leading tools (e.g., SAP Enable Now, Articulate Storyline, Vyond) to create innovative and effective training materials in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate closely with Functional Leads, Change Managers, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand specific training needs and develop tailored user-centric solutions. Assist the Training Lead in developing classroom agendas, timelines, and content flow to deliver practical training to end users. Develop and maintain a consistent design approach across all training materials. Manage multiple project assignments simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and ensuring efficient project execution aligned with schedules and budgets. Accurately track and document the progress of instructional design projects, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met. Work closely with stakeholders, including leadership teams and learners, to understand the learning needs and objectives. Establish and participate in content review, revision, and sign-off cycles. Participate and report in regularly scheduled team meetings. Travel to field locations as needed. Perform other duties as required (e.g. surveys, training data analysis, and administrative duties in support of training) Required Experience: Proficient understanding of SAP Plant Maintenance and Supply Chain modules Multiple full-cycle ERP deployments, working for any team – SAP, the Systems Integrator, or the Business. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Proficient in SAP Enable Now, Articulate Storyline, and Vyond Experience in creating multimedia content, including graphics and interactive elements, using tools. Strong understanding of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE) Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with subject matter experts (SMEs), leadership teams, and learners. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide regular updates to stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a hybrid work schedule. Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, or Power deployment experience that includes frontline operations and maintenance stakeholders preferred Experience training users on Prometheus Web Scheduling Platform preferred. Position Details Pay Rate: $115/hr Schedule: Choose between a 4/10 schedule or a 9/80 schedule. Location: Hybrid location – Monday & Friday are remote at the discretion of the Supervisor/business need; Tuesday – Thursday is in-person at the Bakersfield, CA offices. Occasional travel to oilfield locations in Central California may be required.
