Role Overview: As an Intern Gameplay Programmer, you will be instrumental in shaping the core gameplay systems of our prototype. Using Unreal Engine, you’ll code primarily in Blueprints and C++ to design, implement, and refine combat mechanics and systems. You’ll collaborate closely with animators, designers, and other developers to ensure seamless integration of assets and gameplay. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize gameplay systems, with a focus on combat mechanics and campaign features. Write clean, maintainable, and modular code in Blueprints and C++. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth integration of animations, 3D assets, and other game systems. Troubleshoot and debug gameplay issues to ensure a polished experience. Participate in team meetings and provide regular updates on progress. Qualifications At least 3 years of experience with Unreal Engine Blueprints and C++. Strong understanding of gameplay mechanics, especially combat systems. Experience implementing single-player campaign features is a plus. Familiarity with debugging and optimization techniques in Unreal Engine. Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset. Passion for game development and enthusiasm for sci-fi genres.
