A Manufacturing Process Engineer, is responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. Their duties include researching automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency and planning factory layouts to optimize production. This Engineer will develop and implement World Class Manufacturing projects, production and processing methods, and controls to meet customer-based quality standards in the most cost-effective manner. Through the application of engineering fundamentals and advanced process control statistical tools, they will ensure processes are centered, capable, in control, will reduce process variations, and resolve special causes of variation. Responsibilities include: Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and other data and then provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed for the manufacturing process. Ensure that the company’s manufacturing processes follow all government laws and regulations. Review and calculate labor, material, and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision making. Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency. Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services and make sure that manufacturer’s procedures and instructions are followed to keep production equipment operational. Complete material and energy balances, develop process Use Focus Improvement and Kaizen Ability to optimize processes, improve efficiency and troubleshoot Participate and run trials at manufacturing facilities to evaluate equipment, process, and raw material IS THIS JOB FOR YOU? What do you bring? Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Industrial Management, or related technical discipline preferred; Three years of equivalent experience that provides a comprehensive working knowledge of the laws, regulations, practices, and procedures of a lean/world-class manufacturing operation may be substituted for a degree. Ability to work with others to organize, plan, and solve problems at all levels of the organization. Prior Lean experience with a working knowledge of the Toyota Production System and World-Class principles and practices. Working knowledge of advance statistical tools and project management skills. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and other technology related to this role.
