WHAT WOULD YOU DO AS A SITE MANAGER?

As a Site Manager at 1J Homes, you will be involved in creating and maintaining a construction schedule aligned with the project's overall timeline, producing weekly three-week look-ahead schedules, and proactively communicating with subcontractors and vendors to address potential obstacles. Responsibilities include scheduling internal resources, monitoring subcontractor and vendor compliance with their contractual obligations, and understanding project design and quality expectations. The role requires identifying and addressing safety, quality, or scheduling non-compliance, participating in weekly progress meetings, and monitoring project cost analysis to adhere to budget constraints. Additionally, it involves planning and coordinating labor, materials, and equipment, conducting frequent site walkthroughs for activity monitoring and future planning, reviewing shop drawings for accuracy, and maintaining daily reports and logs of on-site activities to document construction progress.

ARE YOU A GOOD FIT FOR THIS SITE MANAGER ROLE?

To excel as a Site Manager at 1J Homes, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in construction management or related field of study plus at least 3 years of experience. Preferred applicants will have a background in construction materials, processes, and equipment. Proficiency in the ability to read and interpret documents are essential for success in this role.
