Job Title: Grossing Technologist Job Specialty: Pathology Job Duration: Permanent, full-time Shift: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts Guaranteed Hours: 80 hours per pay period Experience: 1 years of grossing experience required License: Current New York State license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT), Medical Technologist (MT), or Histotechnologist (HTL) Certifications: Not specified Must-Have: Grossing experience; proficiency with IHC on the Leica BOND MAX Job Description: - Responsible for the accurate gross description, dissection, and processing of all biopsies, routine, and moderate complexity tissue specimens according to established protocols. - Work under the direct supervision of the Pathologist and/or Pathology Supervisor. - Participate in limited technical activities of the Pathology department as needed, such as accessioning, staining, cover slipping, routine maintenance, and cytology specimen preparation. - Enhances the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Pathology department by contributing to team efforts when required.
