Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Job Duration: Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Guaranteed Hours: Experience: - Two years of acute care hospital experience required - Critical access hospital experience preferred - Clinically independent and experienced in working with all age groups License: - Graduate from an approved/accredited Program of Respiratory Care - Current state Respiratory Care License/Registration required Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or eligibility for certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, or must be able to obtain within six months of hire Must-Have: - Participation in continuing education programs - Knowledge of evidence-based practices and techniques for respiratory care Job Description: - The Respiratory Care Practitioner is a valuable member of the healthcare team who demonstrates knowledge, skill, and professionalism when interacting with peers and patients. - Provide age-appropriate care to a diversified patient population. - Demonstrate knowledge of hospital policies and procedures as well as standards of practice. - Work in a department equipped with Drager ventilators, Transport Vent Zoll, and Bipap V60. - Use high flow oxygen Vapotherm and ABG Gem equipment. - Utilize an electronic medical record system. - Be on call 2-3 nights per week. - Work every other weekend, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM. - Participate in transport duties as required. - New graduates welcome and willing to train.
