Clinical Pharmacist I - Part-Time Weekends at MEDSTAR HEALTH summary:
The Clinical Pharmacist I is responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to patients at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center during part-time weekend shifts. This role involves evaluating physician orders, dispensing medications, and ensuring compliance with various laws and procedures while collaborating with senior pharmacists. A Doctoral degree in pharmacy and Maryland licensure are required, along with experience in a hospital setting.
General Summary of Position We are actively recruiting for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist I to provide part-time support to our team at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, Maryland every other weekend.
Shifts include 7a-3:30p, 8:30a-5p, 9:30a-6p, 11:30a-8p Saturdays and Sundays. Provides pharmaceutical care to assigned patients under the supervision of a more senior clinical pharmacist/manager.
Evaluates and interprets physician orders and dispenses medication and other pharmaceutical supplies in accordance with established operational procedures, professional standards or practice as well as state and district and Federal laws.
Minimum Qualifications Education
Doctoral degree Pharm D. or equivalent pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy

Experience
1 year of direct patient care experience in a hospital setting required PGY-1 preferred
Licenses and Certifications
RPH - Registered Pharmacist Licensure in the state of Maryland required Board Certification preferred

Job requires a relatively high level of problem-solving to find solutions to difficult human, technical, clinical or administrative problems. INTERNAL CONTACTS:
Internal contacts necessary to effectively advise, consult or counsel others to gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas or actions. INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Work is occasionally performed according to existing procedures and instructions but often requires analysis of problems and development of solutions. This involves determining appropriate methods and task sequences. Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred.
This position has a hiring range of $100,588 - $190,340
