Job and Company Overview

We are seeking a Recruiter to join our rapidly expanding team at MassMutual Great Lakes. This key role will be responsible for managing the full cycle recruiting process, including sourcing, attracting, interviewing, and onboarding top financial representatives. The successful candidate will work closely with sales leaders and managers to proactively identify talent needs and ensure that our company attracts and retains the best candidates, while continuously building a strong talent pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruiting Strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive recruiting strategy aimed at building the recruiting department, setting clear parameters, and defining goals for the team.
  • Talent Sourcing: Source and recruit candidates using various channels such as databases, social media, and lead programs.
  • Candidate Screening: Review candidate resumes and applications, ensuring qualifications align with job requirements.
  • Interviews & Selection: Conduct structured interviews, utilizing reliable recruiting methods to identify the best candidates in a timely manner.
  • Candidate Assessment: Evaluate candidates' knowledge, skills, experience, and potential to perform the role.
  • Relationship Management: Serve as the main point of contact for candidates, building strong relationships throughout the selection process.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with department managers to attract and onboard new representatives.
  • Job Analysis: Perform job and task analysis to document key job requirements and objectives.
  • Job Postings & Materials: Collaborate with the Marketing Department to create recruitment materials and post job openings on appropriate job boards, websites, and other platforms.
  • Job Descriptions: Develop and maintain up-to-date job descriptions and specifications.
  • Reporting: Provide detailed and analytical recruiting reports to the organization.
  • Employer Branding: Promote MassMutual Great Lakes as a top employer and "best place to work."

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree required; preferred degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of recruiting experience in the financial services industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (JobScore preferred) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Recruiting Expertise: Hands-on experience with sourcing, engaging, and interviewing candidates.
  • Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and manage effective relationships with stakeholders across departments.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple offices.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational, time management, and decision-making abilities.
  • Leadership: A proven leader committed to continuous career growth and development.
  • Work Environment: In-person, 5 days per week, located at our Southfield office. Office hours are a follow: 8am - 5pm Monday - Thursday and 8am - 4pm on Friday. Dress attire is business professional.
