Job Description
We are inviting applications for the role of Accounting Assistant based in Albany, New York. You will be tasked with the responsibility of managing financial records, processing customer applications, and handling customer inquiries. The role also mandates the regular monitoring of customer accounts and taking necessary actions.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications
• Maintain precise records of customer credit
• Manage general and subsidiary ledgers, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, operating expenses, and insurance records
• Verify and ensure the accuracy of general ledger coding
• Enter accounts receivable and payable invoices
• Handle the preparation of accounts payable check runs
• Participate in cost analyses and monthly variance analysis for each department
• Assist with event settlements and sponsor contracts
• Facilitate internal and external audits
• Oversee the management of account reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, billing, and data entry
• Handle invoice processing and use software such as Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft based D365.
• Entry-level position, no previous experience required
• Proficiency in account reconciliation
• Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Familiarity with billing procedures
• Strong data entry skills
• Experience in invoice processing is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
