JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The University of Wisconsin-Madison\'s Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP) is responsible for administration of the extramural research grants and contracts to the University of Wisconsin-Madison. RSP currently manages an open portfolio of over \$4 Billion with annual awards over \$1.5 Billion. The duties and responsibilities of this research administration position include the financial administration and accounting of grants and contracts awarded to the University of Wisconsin-Madison by Federal and Non-Federal sources. The Cost Analyst\'s main responsibility is to actively participate in and assist with the preparation and negotiation of the University\'s Facilities & Administrative (F&A) Cost Rate Proposal with the federal government. The Cost Analyst will collaborate with a broad range of University personnel to coordinate the collection of and/or correction of space and/or facilities related data, collection and analysis of sponsored programs data, and modelling and visualizing data. In addition to leading the development of the University\'s F&A rate proposal, other responsibilities include analysis of the sponsored programs data including standardizing reports, operational metrics, facilitating optimum management of sponsored programs portfolios. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to prepare and maintain appropriate documentation to support the cost proposal process, and the capability to interpret and communicate complex federal guidelines.
