Our team has years of experience building and operating business-critical machine learning systems at leading tech companies like Uber, Google, Meta, Airbnb, Lyft, and Twitter.We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead the FP&A function at Tecton. You'll be an integral part of the finance leadership team and work closely with the executive leadership team on real-time high-priority business issues. The ideal candidate will use quantitative insights to drive better decision-making across Tecton, have the technical skills to support their recommendations, and have strong interpersonal skills to manage various stakeholders. This is a strategic opportunity reporting to our Head of Finance.ResponsibilitiesOwn the monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting process, ensuring strategic alignment across teams and providing real-time updates to executive leadership on budgetary performanceDevelop complex financial models and scenario analyses to deliver actionable insights and recommendations that guide investments, expansions, and cost optimizationCollaborate with leaders in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations to establish financial targets and provide recommendations to optimize operational efficiency and profitabilityLead strategic projects and support senior leadership on ad hoc research and analysisBuild and mentor a high-performing team that produces rich insights, plans, and forecasts with a high degree of transparency and accuracyArchitect and implement new analytics and planning systems to streamline reporting and automate internal processesProvide financial analysis and modeling support for M&A or capital-raising effortsOversee cash flow forecasting and optimize liquidity management to ensure financial flexibilityPrepare board presentations and investor reports, ensuring data integrity and clear messagingQualificationsB.S. or B.A. in accounting, finance, math, economics, business, or other technical field8+ years of professional work experience with a focus in financial planningStrong knowledge of GAAP accounting principlesStrong knowledge of Software-as-a-Service and standard industry metrics & KPIsExperience owning the full P&L and modeling all three financial statementsDeep understanding and comfort with building complex financial modelsHighly proficient with Excel and Google WorkspaceExceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skillsExperience working at a high-growth enterprise software startupBonus PointsFamiliarity with financial system integrations and implementationsKnowledgeable of consumption-based pricing modelsExperience designing or administering incentive compensation plansExposure to corporate travel, procurement, or spend management programs$178,000 - $214,000 a yearThe estimated US base salary range for this position is $178,000 - $214,000 annually for employees based within California & New York. In addition to base salary, we offer competitive equity & comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, 401(K), flexible paid time off, 10 paid holidays each calendar year, sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws.
