Are you an Engineer with experience in RF hardware and firmware related development? Are you looking to be a part of a team where you can make a large impact? Alongside RTS wireless products, you will also have the opportunity to impact and shape the development of RTS wired intercom products. As a Design Engineer at RTS, you will lead the development of hardware (RF, analog and digital circuits) and work closely with the firmware/software team to help make each product a success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development of next generation, RF/IP-based audio products. May include architecture definition, design, risk analysis, schematic entry, PCB layout supervision, component selection, bill of materials construction, manufacturing test support and product verification.
- Perform firmware development and testing.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of field-related product issues.
- Apply sound engineering process and understanding to product development activities including project planning, design, implementation, verification, troubleshooting and industrialization.
- Collaborate with multiple inter-disciplinary groups including Purchasing, Manufacturing, Product Management, and Technical Support in addition to other design engineering team members.
Qualifications
- B.S. or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- At least 6 years of experience in RF design focused activities and/or high-speed digital design.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Independent performer, self-motivated, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with RF analog and digital design techniques and circuits.
- Experience with standard lab test equipment including digital oscilloscopes, signal generators, multi-meters, logic analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
- Knowledge of IP-connectivity and protocols.
- Experience in writing technical documentation (design specifications, test plans, etc.) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work in a highly-structured process environment.
- Occasional travel may be necessary, up to 10% travel, including international.
