General Purpose

The Marketing Manager will be accountable for helping develop and deliver the soccer strategy and North Market Unit marketing strategic business objectives, as well as serve as the subject matter expert for soccer and local marketing initiatives. This includes assisting in developing and executing a comprehensive soccer strategy including World Cup, MLS and youth recruitment activations. Market Unit centric marketing strategies would incorporate activation with the NMU marketing asset partnerships, segmented geographic marketing campaigns, sampling and consumer engagements, social/digital strategies, unique activations and marketing pilot initiatives. In addition to partnering with the North MU leadership, the Marketing Manager will have key external collaboration points with strategic partners, including North America Operating Unit, Tier 1 and 2 marketing asset partners, marketing agencies and brand partners. The role would enable important deliverables associated with bringing the six elements of Great Marketing to life in all 5 Areas of the North MU, unlocking consumer connections and passion points that drive execution, volume and share. They will directly report into the assigned Marketing Director and will have geographic support for the North Market Unit, while also closely collaborating with the CCSWB soccer lead for epic events like the World Cup and ongoing MLS partnerships.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in bringing to life 6 elements of Great Marketing with strategic marketing asset and region marketing events.
  • Lead a Marketing Coordinator team member who supports the North Market Unit 5 Areas and 20 Sales Centers
  • Provide subject matter expertise across the organization for activation of local market programming activations.
  • In partnership with Food Service On Premise Key Accounts, develop and maintain marketing relationship with MU assets, including FC Dallas and the Dallas Cup
  • Ownership of Sustaining CCSWB Point of Sale Direct Marketing Expenses Budget for the North MU.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional internal and external partners to accomplish set marketing goals
  • Collaboration with North America Operating Unit Frontline Marketing to incorporate assets to marketing plans
  • Co-Management with Marketing Director of agencies: Budgets, briefs, execution
  • Ensure connectivity & execution between marketing execution goals and plan
  • Responsible for collection/preparation of Market Unit Monthly Operating Review Meeting content
  • Responsible for collection/preparation of Brand Partner/Key Account/Marketing Meeting content
  • Preparation and Execution of annual Sales Rally (content, video(s), premiums, location, F&B, budget, IT)
  • Influence the design and development of regional marketing asset and initiative Point of Sale materials and execution guidelines
  • Analyze data, identify local opportunities, and recommend segmented marketing solutions
  • Print Shop, DMeX, ShopX & Coke Channel Capability
  • Coordinate POS spend performance reporting with Region Finance and Procurement teams
  • Work with Region Sales, Brand Directors and Region Commercial Marketing & Operations teams to understand business/customer needs & competitive activity
  • Identify & prioritize local marketing & growth opportunities, then rally resources to execute initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's desired
  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience in sales execution and/or marketing
  • People leadership experience: Ability to influence, communicate and build relationships with his/her team.
  • Knowledge of brand strategy and application across channels, including local marketing
  • Knowledge of key consumption occasions, shopper messaging, and methods of activation and ability to localize for customers.
  • Brand Acumen - positioning, role, occasions
  • Strong planning skills
  • Effectively communicates & builds relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge in foundational Category Management skills
  • Estimated 25% Travel Including Market Investment Days
