Cherokee Nation System Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical knowledge of information security standards, guidelines, and best practices to protect data from unauthorized access. The Senior Security Analyst will monitor network activity, identify and analyze threats, solve complex technical issues, and conduct detailed security event analysis. This role will also provide expert recommendations on network vulnerabilities and remediation strategies, applying advanced knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and disaster recovery operations to enhance the organization's security posture.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Security Analyst, Senior: Pay commensurate with experience.

Security Analyst, Senior Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide advanced technical knowledge and analysis of information security standards and guidelines to support data protection and compliance across the organization.
  • Monitor network activity to identify and respond to potential security threats, ensuring protection against unauthorized access.
  • Solve highly complex technical security issues and conduct thorough security event analysis to detect vulnerabilities and analyze incidents.
  • Identify and assess network vulnerabilities and provide expert recommendations on remediation approaches to enhance network defenses.
  • Develop and implement security best practices for network protocols, firewalls, and data protection, supporting robust disaster recovery operations.
  • Apply deep knowledge of network protocols, firewall configurations, and disaster recovery to ensure the resilience of IT infrastructure against cyber threats.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to support incident response, vulnerability assessments, and threat mitigation.
  • Stay current on emerging cyber threats, industry trends, and regulatory changes to proactively improve the organization's security measures.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned


Security Analyst, Senior Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in information security, with a focus on network security, threat analysis, and vulnerability management.
  • Strong expertise in network protocols, firewalls, and disaster recovery operations.
  • Proven experience in conducting security event analysis and identifying vulnerabilities within complex network environments.
  • Familiarity with information security frameworks, industry standards, and best practices for protecting data and IT assets.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH).
    • Experience with SIEM tools and security monitoring systems.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex security concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
