Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain control systems, including hardware and software integration.
- Prepare technical documentation, including datasheets and system specifications.
- Develop control algorithms, control narratives, and system logic for automation applications.
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and other automation equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
- Perform system testing, debugging, and validation to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams as needed.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of work experience in control systems engineering.
- Strong understanding of control theory, automation systems, and industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, PROFIBUS).
- Experience with CAD software for electrical schematics.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical is an asset.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, Siemens) and HMI/SCADA development is an asset.
- Familiarity with advanced technologies such as IoT, AI, or machine learning in control applications is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to exercise good judgment in prioritizing work.
- Ability to work in a dynamic work environment.
