Sr. Azure Cloud Network Engineer

Quetica is seeking a full-time resource to work with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS) and Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) is seeking one full-time resource to assist the BCA's Network Operations Team with Azure Cloud network design, implementation, support, maintenance, and configuration of network Cloud infrastructure, including network switches, firewalls, load balancers, automation tools, monitoring, and troubleshooting. The position will also document design, and support and maintenance process and procedures and cross train current network staff on Cloud network tools and technologies.
The work is hybrid, part remote and part in-person. Resource will be expected to be in the office 2 days per week minimum, may vary based on workload. One of the days onsite must be Monday or Friday each week. Onsite work located at 1430 Maryland Ave E, Saint Paul, MN 55106.
Sample Tasks include:
Design, plan, and implement client-specific cloud solutions, including private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures and on premise integrations
Design and implement network infrastructure, including routers, load balancers, switches, and firewalls
Develop detailed technical processes and supporting documentation for cloud services
Document design, implementation, and support and maintenance of Cloud infrastructure.
Cross train and mentor current staff on Cloud tools and technologies.
Work alongside other cloud engineers to design, automate, and support Infrastructure Landing Zones in our various Cloud providers
Work with product owner and architect to define technical deliverables for requests and features based on internal stakeholder needs using Agile Framework and agile processes
Provide knowledge transfer.
Required Skills/Qualifications
Five (5) or more years of Cloud Network infrastructure design, implementation, and support.
Expert knowledge and skills in TCP/IP and network security, compliance, and best practice.
Ability to perform advanced technical issue analysis and troubleshooting within a Cloud infrastructure
Experience migrating legacy applications to cloud environments while adhering to cloud native standards
Strong network engineering experience (Cisco route/switch, firewall, load balancing, DNS)
Cloud networking experience in one or more platforms: Azure, AWS, Google, on premise cloud.
Strong analytical, oral and written communications, problem solving, and human relations skills.
Candidates should have full lifecycle experience with hybrid clouds including: architecture/design, build, and ongoing operational support
Experience in creating training materials and educating team members as well as technical stakeholders
Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Checkpoint, or other network certifications
Experience using network protocol analyzers for configuring and fine-tune monitoring, alerting, and event management for cloud network services
