We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable and receivable, tax preparations, and financial forecasting. Our ideal candidate has the vision to implement strategies that will help us maintain our financial health and increase profitability.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. 2. Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income and loss statements, and tax returns. 3. Conduct regular ledger reconciliation and manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, etc. 4. Collaborate with financial staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of our financial department. 5. Prepare and coordinate the execution of the corporate annual report and the annual audit. 6. Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all local, state, and federal tax returns. 7. Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide goals are met. 8. Assist in company-wide budgetary planning. 9. Advise on appropriate tax strategies for the organization. 10. Ensure compliance with all internal processes. 11. Prepare 1040 individual returns, 1120 corporate, and 1065 partnership. 12. Engage in critical and confidential aspects of accounting. 13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or MBA preferred. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role. 3. Proven experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, wealth planning, tax, bookkeeping, 1040 individual returns, 1120 corporate, and 1065 partnership. 4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 5. Proficiency with accounting software, databases, and financial analysis tools. 6. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles. 7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 9. Ability to manage and lead staff to excellent performance. 10. Must be a highly motivated, self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills. 11. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity. 12. Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
