Job Details Job Posting: Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Hematology/Oncology M-F day hours including Sat rotations As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive care to patients with hematologic and oncologic malignancies. You will be an integral member of our collaborative "Care Team," which includes Attending Physicians, Pharmacists, Care Coordinators, Nurse Navigators, Social Workers, Nutritionists, and a dedicated team of Oncology-Certified Nurses. Your commitment to safety, quality, and compassionate care will be essential in supporting our high-risk patient population, ensuring that they receive the best possible care that both they and their families deserve. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including thorough patient assessments, obtaining detailed medical histories, performing physical examinations, and developing treatment plans in close collaboration with attending physicians. Educate and counsel patients on various aspects of their care, including potential drug reactions, side effects, health promotion, health maintenance, and disease prevention. Act as an advocate for patients and families, guiding them through the complexities of treatment and offering support in managing side effects and challenges associated with their condition. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless, high-quality care delivery and coordinate necessary resources for patient support. Qualifications: Minimum of one year of prior experience in an oncology setting, with a strong understanding of chemotherapeutic agents, toxicities, and the management of adverse reactions to treatments. Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license required. BLS and ACLS certification required. Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
