Job Title: Electrical Technician II
Locations: Onsite at Sunnyvale, CA
Duration: 6 Months Contract on W2 (Possible Extension)
We are looking for an experienced electrical technician with excellent hand
soldering skills
with the ability to work with
fine pitch and small package components . Top 3 must-have HARD skills: 1. Soldering experience 2. Mechanical assembly 3. Run the Python script Good to have: 1. Soldering 01005 size component 2. iPhone disassemble experience 3. Python scripting Responsibilities: Work with the electrical engineering team, Help to build prototypes, primarily by assembling, reworking, and troubleshooting PCBs. Support engineers in troubleshooting failures to find root causes. Navigate PCB layout files and schematics and create detailed rework instructions if necessary. Assist with scaled prototype assembly and small pre-production units in varying numbers, as well as electronic component addition/modification/replacement as needed. Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of related experience in small engineering labs. Ability to rework, repair, and modify SMT down to 01005 package size using microscopes and camera-based inspection equipment. Proficient debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills with power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and microscopes. Basic understanding of analog/digital circuits. Familiarity with OrCAD/Allegro and other EE hardware design programs. Preferred Qualifications: Excellent computer skills and familiarity with PC Microsoft Office, MS-DOS, and database applications. Experience with ADB/Python scripting, and ability to debug scripts. Past prototype or assembly line experience, particularly in small electronics or devices.
