Here are the Details -
Position: Nurse Practitioner
Schedule: 4 days per week; 32 hours per week
Location: Athens-Clarke County Jail, Athens, GA
Pay Rate: Starting pay is $65 per hour, rising with commensurate experience
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain professional relationships with patients, visitors, medical personnel, and correction staff
Respect dignity and confidentiality of patient medical information/history
Conduct H&Ps and other assessments/evaluations of patients and, if indicated, develop treatment plan
Coordinate care and treatment in urgent or emergent medical situations
Document promptly and properly
Participate in on-call coverage ("Call-by-Phone") as assigned by the facility and/or company needs
Qualifications
Master's Degree (MSN), at minimum, in a primary care clinical discipline from an accredited program
Georgia license as APRN or CNS, with Board Certification in FNP, AGNP, or ENP
Must have (or be willing to obtain) DEA registration and meet any state requirements to order/prescribe controlled substances
Current CPR/BLS certificate required (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved) prior to start date
