Mercy Health in Toledo, OH, is seeking an experienced and compassionate

Advanced Practice Clinician (APC)

to join our dynamic Psychiatry team. This full-time position is based primarily at

Mercy Health St. Charles

but also provides coverage across our other local facilities including

St. Vincent, St. Anne , and

Perrysburg Hospital . In this role, you will be an integral part of our inpatient psychiatric team, responsible for providing high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with an experienced team of psychiatrists, PMHNPs, social workers, and nursing professionals in a supportive, team-based environment. Key Responsibilities: Inpatient Psychiatry Care:

Perform evaluations, follow-ups, discharges, and admissions for acute inpatient psychiatric patients, including psychiatric intensive care and geriatric units. Consultations:

Conduct psychiatric consultations for medically admitted patients with psychiatric needs across our hospitals. Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT):

Participate in the evaluation of patients prior to ECT, as well as assist in treatment protocols. Collaborative Care:

Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including social work, recreational therapy, and nursing staff, to ensure holistic patient care. Mentorship:

Precept APP students and contribute to the development of the next generation of psychiatric providers. Team-Based Approach:

Engage in shared rounds and care responsibilities with other APCs, psychiatrists, and PMHNPs. Required Qualifications: Licensure & Certification: Must be a licensed Advanced Practice Clinician (NP or PA) in Ohio. Must be

BLS (Basic Life Support)

certified. Experience: Preferred minimum of

1 year of inpatient psychiatric

experience. Experience with adult and geriatric populations is highly desirable. Skills & Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset. Ability to manage a rotating schedule, including weekend and holiday shifts. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, inpatient psychiatric environment with the capacity for crisis management. Schedule & Call: 40 hours per week

on a

4-day, 10-hour shift

schedule. Call:

Three hours of "gratis" call (from 4pm–7pm) per week, with an hourly rate for additional hours beyond that, up to a 12-hour shift. Weekend and holiday rotations are required as part of the team-based approach.
