Your expertise in monitoring systems, infrastructure automation, and cloud services will be crucial as you optimize performance and support application teams across our development and production environments.You will:Lead the transformation to modernize Observability, Tools & Automation Services at Pitney Bowes by leveraging cutting-edge technologiesLead the development of a single pane of glass monitoring solutionMonitor and resolve incidents using monitoring and logging toolsAutomate infrastructure and deployment tasks using Ansible and TerraformSupport day-to-day operations for cloud services, open-source applications, and business systemsHelp application teams leverage automated infrastructure and provide development and production supportWrite Python, Bash, and Ruby scripts to automate tasksConfigure, maintain, and monitor metrics, logs, and traces across distributed systemsYour background:As an SRE Observability and Automation Engineer, you have:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience8+ years of hands-on experience with AWS and other public cloud providers8+ years of experience in cloud/hybrid networking operations with expertise in protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS), network security policies, and troubleshooting5+ years of experience with Observability platforms (LogicMonitor, Grafana, Datadog, or similar)5+ years of experience with logging tools (ELK Stack, Loki, Splunk, or similar)5+ years of hands-on automation experience using Ansible/Terraform5+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines (Bamboo, GitLab, or similar)5+ years of experience with Python, Bash, or Ruby scriptingHands-on experience creating dashboards and monitoring service healthKnowledge of Linux/Unix systems and performance metricsExperience with APM toolsExperience supporting development and production environmentsExperience with ITIL practicesExperience with Jira and ConfluencePreferred Qualifications:Experience with GrafanaPublic cloud certifications (AWS, Azure)Our Team:Pitney Bowes (NYSE: PBI) is a technology-driven company that provides SaaS shipping solutions, mailing innovation, and financial services to clients around the world – including more than 90 percent of the Fortune 500. This position may be eligible to earn an annual incentive bonus.Location:This will be a Hybrid role. This position currently works four (4) days out of our Shelton, CT office with the option to work from home one (1) day per week. This hybrid status may change based on business need.
